Orbit Fab is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical team in Lafayette, Colorado. The role involves overseeing multiple projects and requires strong leadership and technical skills. You will be responsible for guiding process development, supporting assembly and testing activities, and maintaining effective team dynamics.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, over 7 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in CAD and analysis tools.

As the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you would lead the mechanical team from concept designs to producing flight-ready hardware. We have multiple ongoing projects, and we need someone with excellent technical understanding and the ability to juggle priorities. You would be responsible for understanding people’s needs, business needs, and technical requirements.
The expectation for this role is to be a player-coach with 50-75% of time spent on leadership responsibilities and 25-50% of time spent on individual contributor work.
Must be willing and able to work a hybrid schedule (3-5 days a week on site) out of our Lafayette, CO office
