With a reputation for solving complex production problems through precision engineering, they’re entering a new growth phase and expanding their leadership team.

Role Overview

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a mechanical engineering professional ready to take ownership of a growing engineering department. You’ll lead end-to-end project execution - from early design through to installation and field troubleshooting - while mentoring a team of engineers and working cross-functionally with operations, controls, and manufacturing.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, technical troubleshooting, and strategic project oversight.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through to installation, commissioning, and post-sale support.
• Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
• Oversee the design of custom machinery, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and safety compliance.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for troubleshooting mechanical issues in the field.
• Collaborate with electrical/control engineers, production, and clients to ensure seamless delivery.
• Evaluate vendor components, manage timelines, and contribute to strategic engineering decisions.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience within machinery, automation, or heavy industrial equipment manufacturing.
• Strong design skills (SolidWorks or similar CAD) and experience with mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and power transmission.
• Proven leadership or project management experience within an engineering function.
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites for installations or issue resolution.
• Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
