Job summary

Romac Industries, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Lab Technician to support product development through hands-on testing, data recording, and demonstration setup. You will work with Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales to drive innovation and improve products.

The role emphasizes rigorous testing, safety, and a structured environment, with a strong focus on growth across engineering and production teams. On-site hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm in Bothell, WA.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on ability to test and measure products.
  • Safety-focused approach in testing environments.
  • Experience with basic metrology and measurement tools helpful.
  • Technical degree or hands-on experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests to evaluate existing and new products, setting up tests and recording data.
  • Perform dimensional inspections with metrology tools to ensure standards.
  • Set up and demonstrate products for tours and visitors.
  • Carry out routine safety inspections to maintain a clean, safe testing space.

Job description

Step into an exciting opportunity as a ROMAC Engineering Lab Technician. You’ll gain hands‑on experience working alongside our Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams, giving you strong opportunities for growth, learning, and career development within the organization. This is a fast‑paced, engaging role where your contributions directly support product innovation and improvement—helping Romac continue shaping the future of sustainable water distribution.

Hours:

Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct tests to evaluate existing and new products. This will include working with Engineering and/or Quality staff to set up and conduct tests, record data, and provide observations detailing the test results
  • Perform dimensional inspections using a variety of metrology equipment to ensure every product meets the highest standards
  • Set up and execute demonstrations (including burst demos) that showcase our products in action for tours and visitors
  • Perform routine safety inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and secure testing environment
What You’ll Bring
  • Ability to use safety equipment and power tools such as impact wrenches, torque wrenches, skill saw, gas powered cut off saw, etc.
  • Ability to work in a hands‑on capacity including lifting weights up to 35 lbs while demonstrating good safety practices and common sense
  • Ability to take accurate measurements with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, outside diameter tape, and other measuring tools
  • Robust organization skills and cleanliness to facilitate efficiency in the workplace
  • Technical degree or experience is a plus
Base Compensation Range:

$22.25-$28.61 per hour. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Our salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.
