Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern/Co-Op for a May 2027–August 2027 term in Holland, MI. This paid internship is part-time with hands-on exposure to mechanical design, analysis, and automation projects.

You will collaborate with Applications, Controls, Mechanical, and Build teams to support design, build, program, and deployment of custom automated equipment. You’ll learn from experienced engineers, contribute to drawing packages, CAD updates, and conceptual

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.

• Detail drawing packages for Mechanical Engineers.
• Solve practical problems with no standard solution.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Update CAD models based on redline drawings once machines have been built.
• Complete layout of machine through detail of all components.
• Check peer drawing packages.
• Develop conceptual designs for customers or sales and quoting.
• Work with vendors for proper sizing and quotation of purchased items needed for design.
• Complete all stock sizes for mechanical bill of material.
• Create dxf files for burnouts and internal/external machining.

Location: Holland, MI Internship Type: Full-Time, Paid As a Mechanical Engineer Intern/Co-Op, you will assist and support other Mechanical Engineers. As a member of a project team, you’ll work alongside our Applications, Controls, Mechanical, and Build teams to support the design, build, program, and deployment of custom automated equipment.
