Job summary

The Toro Company invites motivated engineering interns to join our Summer Internship Program in Bloomington, Minnesota. You will participate in value analysis/value engineering, contribute to design and prototyping of components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturability and quality improvements.

You will gain hands-on experience with data analytics, CAD documentation, and validation planning, while supporting lean initiatives and continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Industrial, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in design analyses and prototyping of components or subsystems.
• Apply value engineering concepts to improve cost and performance.
• Use data analytics to identify opportunities and justify decisions.
• Collaborate with teammates to document project files, drawings, BOMs, and tests.
• Support validation plans with NPD and test engineers.
• Coordinate with suppliers, labs, and consultants as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
