Job summary

Allegion invites students to join the AD Systems team in Everett, WA as a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern. You will work with the engineering group and cross-functional teams on projects spanning the product life cycle, including new product development, value engineering, and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities include using CAD tools for concept and design, prototyping in a manufacturing setting, and performing product testing to internal standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum GPA not specified; candidates should meet general intern standards.
• CAD experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with new product development, value engineering, and sustaining engineering teams to understand products.
• Use mechanical design and analysis tools to concept, design, develop, and execute projects.
• Fabricate and build prototypes within a manufacturing environment.
• Learn and conduct product testing to industry and internal standards.
• Learn manufacturing processes by collaborating with the manufacturing engineering team.
• Perform quality analysis and verify conformance of parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, finance, and project management.
