Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Summer Intern – Mechanical Engineer in Golden, CO. You will contribute to design, development, and analysis of components and assemblies, generating 3D concepts and collaborating with engineers to ensure manufacturability and quality.

You will gain hands-on experience with Creo, FMEA, GD&T, tolerance stack analysis, and mechanical testing while supporting the Mechanical Engineering team on product development projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative through clubs or projects.
• Basic electronics understanding.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Resiliency and quick adaptation.
• Strong listening, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Desire to learn and contribute to Allegion projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models for components and assemblies.
• Apply FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T in projects.
• Perform mechanical testing and data collection.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure proper tooling and processes.
• Participate in team meetings and projects.
• Gain foundation for growth at Allegion.
