Job summary

Sensata Technologies offers Mechanical Engineering interns an opportunity to work on technical projects across multiple engineering divisions in the United States. Interns receive direct feedback from peers and managers, participate in Lunch and Learn sessions, and gain hands-on experience with a concentrated view of engineering work at Sensata.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident status is required for this position.
• Eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR; Non-US Persons may not be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and debug prototype samples.
• Work in teams to solve complex technical problems and support high volume production lines.
• Create engineering prints and specifications.
• Apply statistical methods to data analysis.
• Interface with customers on key design issues.
• Work in teams to identify and implement the best possible solutions and support high volume production lines.
• Perform design verification on original and derivative ideas using diagnostic and experimental methods.
• Determine design approaches and parameters.
• Evaluate equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results.
