Job summary

Arc Boat Company is seeking a Summer Mechanical Engineering intern to contribute to our electrified marine platform. You will join the Mechanical Engineering team in Torrance, CA, working June 14–August 20, 2027 in a fast-moving startup environment that values ownership and hands-on learning.

You will own hardware aspects from design to testing, build prototypes, and assist in developing next-generation products while collaborating closely with engineers and mentors.

Qualifications

• Hands on project experience.
• Strong fundamentals in Mechanical, Thermal, and Fluids Engineering.
• Exposure to manufacturing methods for engineering parts.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Basic experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from specifications to high-volume manufacturing.
• Design mechanical, thermal, and/or fluid systems.
• Build and test prototypes.
• Use hand calculations, prototyping, and software to engineer parts.
• Support design of next generation products.
