Job summary

Dominion Energy is offering a summer internship for Mechanical Engineering students at the Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT. The role focuses on Fire Protection and/or Electrical Environmental Qualification tasks under supervision, with emphasis on regulatory interpretation, documentation review, and program improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical or Materials Engineering, graduating December 2028 or later, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Solid engineering skills commensurate with internship level.
• GPA 3.0 or higher required for consideration.
• Candidate must be pursuing ABET-accredited Mechanical or Materials Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate regulatory documentation and fire protection systems/equipment.
• Perform fire protection walkdowns and regulatory interpretation.
• Develop and implement program improvements with the fire protection program owner.
• Communicate effectively, work well in a team, and follow instructions.
