Job summary

Capitol Aggregates Inc. is seeking a Cement Plant Maintenance Intern to rotate through maintenance functions under the guidance of the maintenance manager.

The role targets an entry-level professional who will gain hands-on experience in reliability tasks and plant operations. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering studies, proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and able to travel as needed for site work.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (or other CAD based software).
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment inspection, lubrication routes, oil samples, and reliability tasks.
• Execute measurements using ultrasound, laser tools, and other devices.
• Assist supervision to ensure adherence to precision maintenance procedures.
• Organize technical documentation and provide crew with drawings and maintenance details.
• Assist with the execution of job definitions and planning.
• Create CAD drawings as needed from sketches or reverse engineering tasks.
• Identify technical information required for task completion.
• Support the reliability team in troubleshooting using manuals and maintenance data.
• Aid weekly planning by procuring parts, visiting job sites, and checking for issues.
• Assist with part numbering in Stockroom software and manage safety stock.
• Support fieldwork with documentation and maintenance information.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and organize tools.
