Job summary

TKDA invites an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student to join our Bloomington, MN team for a summer internship. You will gain exposure to a multidisciplinary group and engage in a variety of mechanical design projects across industrial, government, and education sectors.

You will assist with studies, design specifications, and drawings, including piping & instrument diagrams and equipment layouts. The internship runs 40 hours/week with occasional hybrid work possibilities during Summer

Qualifications

• Undergrad pursuing accredited bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Interest or coursework in designing building/industrial mechanical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel locally for project assignments and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with studies, design specifications, and detailed drawings.
• Create process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Support preliminary site/conditions assessments or construction administration tasks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand project lifecycles.
