Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the IT Solutions engineering team in designing and validating rack- and row-based data center infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience with CAD modeling, FEA, drawings, and tolerance analysis while supporting senior engineers through the NPD lifecycle.

You will collaborate with global teams across electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering, product management, and manufacturing to drive innovation and system-level

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least sophomore year completed.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo/SolidWorks) required.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Design Support & CAD: create/update 3D models and 2D drawings; support BOM creation.
• Analysis & Validation: perform FEA for structural/thermal validation; tolerance analysis.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with electrical, mechanical, thermal teams on designs.
• Learning & Development: gain exposure to design-for-manufacturing and system architecture.
