Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of engineering experience in product development, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical fields.
• Experience using 3D CAD software for product design and engineering documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop component and system-level designs for new products, product enhancements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and related product documentation.
• Perform engineering analysis, feasibility studies, prototype evaluations, and design validation activities.
• Collaborate with product evaluation, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, service, marketing, and supplier teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, durability, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
• Work closely with Product Development Lab personnel in the creation of prototype components, assemblies, and machines.
• Support prototype builds, product testing, and troubleshooting activities while documenting findings and implementing design improvements.
• Research materials, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies to enhance product performance and value.
• Assist in resolving product quality issues and implementing continuous improvement opportunities for existing products.
• Ensure engineering documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with company standards and PLM requirements.
• Participate in project reviews and contribute to meeting project schedules, cost targets, and technical objectives.
• Apply DFMA principles throughout the product development process.
• Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support component development, sourcing activities, and production readiness.
• Maintain compliance with Toro engineering standards and safety requirements.
