Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, Inc. invites a Mechanical Engineering student to join our team as an intern. The role involves working with the project manager team on design and field observation activities, including AutoCAD and BIM documentation.

You will witness field installations, gain exposure to preconstruction and operations tasks, and collaborate with senior engineering staff in a hands-on, office-based environment. This internship is in-office and not eligible for relocation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited US engineering degree program.
• Interest in the MEP/mechanical contracting field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Precon: takeoffs, estimate reviews, job-site walkthroughs, assist in developing estimates and proposals.
• Operations/PM: support submittal and RFI processing, attend meetings, track action items, assist vendor and subcontractor management, perform field visits, inspect sites for schedule, quality and safety, and help compile closeout documents.
• Participate in the engineering and document production process under project manager supervision.
