Job summary

AV's Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive experience in mechanical design and analysis. You will work on airframes, payload enclosures, and launch systems, creating SolidWorks models and supporting simulations.

You'll collaborate with engineers, gain hands-on prototyping exposure, and contribute to design reviews, documentation, and change processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Basic experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Exposure to hands-on prototyping, lab testing or mechanical assembly.
• 3.0 GPA or higher and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical design of components and systems (airframes, enclosures, launch systems).
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Support simulation tasks using SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS.
• Participate in prototype fabrication, testing, and documentation.
