Job summary

Salamander Designs is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented design engineering student to join our bustling engineering team. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of AV furniture and mechanical components using CAD software.
• Create, configure, and revise 2D drawings and 3D models to support manufacturing of standard and custom product.
• Assist with Engineering Change Requests, Vendor Quality Alerts, BOM updates and revisions, and custom order setup.
• Conduct testing and evaluation of prototypes and provide documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across product lines and throughout the department, with a focus on CAD database organization and File System Management.
• Collaborate on new product development from ideation through prototyping and product launch.
• Participate in custom product design reviews and provide engineering analysis and recommendations.
