Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Beaumont office. The role supports routine design tasks under direct supervision and helps develop conceptual layouts and preliminary designs for various projects.

You will assist engineers in preparing calculations, drawings and reports while applying CAD standards and using MS Office tools. Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program is required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with design standards and codes.
• Working knowledge of CAD software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine designs of less complex engineering tasks under supervision.
• Assist in developing conceptual layouts and studies for efficient solutions.
• Assist in producing preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Assist in producing detailed design calculations, spreadsheets, drawings and sketches.
