Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Westlake, TX is seeking Mechanical Engineering students to join our office. This is not a remote position and provides hands-on experience in a collaborative, real-world environment.

You will utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients; solve complex problems; support HVAC design teams; and learn about federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• In the process of earning an ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Experience with technical software used for analysis and QC is a plus.

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.


• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.


• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.


• Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.


• Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design.


• Project type will vary but may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more.
