Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering students to join our Frisco, Texas office in 2027. This is not a remote position, and you will gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary environment.

You will work closely with project managers, collaborate across disciplines, and develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations as they apply to our projects, including HVAC design within the MEP team.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree in progress (Bachelor’s or Master’s).

Responsibilities

• Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using technical software.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and Kimley-Horn’s practices.
• Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting project managers as required.
• Support MEP team on large-scale HVAC design.
• Projects may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more.

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.
• Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design.
• Project type will vary but may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more.

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters)
