Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Boise team in person. You'll support our Mechanical Engineering group on real client projects, performing calculations and helping design mechanical systems.

You will model in Revit and AutoCAD, schedule equipment, and compile project specifications while learning building codes and site processes in the AEC industry.

Qualifications

• Completion of 3+ years of a mechanical engineering or related undergraduate program.
• Basic knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members across disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering calculations and mechanical system design, including heating and cooling load calculations.
• Support the modeling of mechanical and plumbing systems in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Help schedule mechanical equipment and compile project specifications.

What will I create?

You will help model mechanical and plumbing systems in Revit and AutoCAD, schedule mechanical equipment, and compile project specifications.

What does success look like in this internship?

You will review building codes and standards, including IMC, UPC, and ASHRAE, participate in site visits before and during construction, and leave with a clear picture of what it means to work in the AEC industry.

Position Wage Range*

The expected wage range for this position is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications**

• Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

• The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.
