Nidec Minster Corporation seeks a Mechanical Engineering Co-op starting January 2027 to gain hands-on CAD experience and document designs under a mentor. You will create and revise 3D models and drawings, support design decisions, and troubleshoot with the manufacturing team.

Located onsite at our Minster facility, this co-op offers exposure to full-time engineers and potential broader responsibilities as you develop technical and teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.

Competenze

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
• Copy of Transcript Upon Request.
• Location: Onsite at Nidec Minster Manufacturing facility.

Mansioni

• Assist mechanical design, modeling/calculations, and component selection in new product design and development.
• Appropriately document specifications for any purchased item which may be needed.
• Assist with any questions originating from the manufacturing environment (weld shop, machine shop, assembly).
• Provide technical assistance to other departments and our customers
• The Mechanical Engineering co-op will work closely with full time Mechanical Engineers and gain more responsibility as experience and skills progress.

Mechanical Engineering Co-op - January of 2027

Job Summary

Nidec Press & Automation is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op who is looking to advance their knowledge by gaining hands-on work experience. Job responsibilities will primarily consist of creating and modifying CAD drawings, documenting designs, and problem solving in a team environment under the mentorship of an experienced engineer. Some travel may be required, including occasional travel to trouble-shoot press systems in our customer's plants.
