Job summary

Hyperion Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our Memphis, TN location. You will gain hands-on experience in product development while working with experienced engineers.

Responsibilities include ECOs, the creation of 3D drawings in SolidWorks, updating manuals, and improving processes. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and mentorship by engineers and the engineering director.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with 3D design software, Solidworks preferred.
• Regular and prompt attendance required.

• Initiate and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Create or update assembly drawings for elevator machines to coordinate engineering design with manufacturing and assembly systems and processes.
• Update product manuals for customers to improve clarity of installation and maintenance procedures for machines.
• Structural analysis of elevator machines and mounting assemblies.
• Application logic for machines, ropes, and other elevator components.
• Implement new machine assemblies for customers as specified by requirements.
• Develop and document improved work processes to increase engineering, sales, and/or production efficiency.
• Gain hands-on experience in product development and work closely with experienced engineers.
• Mentorship by product engineers and engineering director for skills critical to elevator industries.

Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our based out of our Memphis, TN location.

Primary Responsibilities:

Technical Documentation:

• Initiate and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Create or update assembly drawings for elevator machines in order to coordinate engineering design with manufacturing and assembly systems and processes
• Update product manuals for customers to improve clarity of installation and maintenance procedures for machines

Design and Engineering:

• Structural analysis of elevator machines and mounting assemblies
• Application logic for machines, ropes, and other elevator components
• Implement new machine assemblies for customers as specified by requirements

Process Improvement:

• Develop and document improved work processes to increase engineering, sales, and/or production efficiency

Learning and Growth Opportunity:

• Gain hands-on experience in product development
• Work closely with experienced engineers in a growing company
• Mentorship by product engineers and engineering director for technical and business skills critical for the elevator and related industries

Health and Safety Compliance?

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Communicate with internal team members to ensure procedures and processes are being followed in a safe and effective manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
