Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of mechanical and plumbing utilities for buildings and process equipment. You will develop supply strategy, dimensioning and back-up considerations, and work with design, installation, commissioning and running-in teams to ensure all equipment is supplied where required.

You will coordinate with environment, safety and MMR groups, supervise suppliers and contractors, and ensure documentation is created and archived per company

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in a similar position with site installation, mechanical design, machine construction, or design specifications
• 3D modelling using Inventor or a similar program
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally ~60% of the time
• Extended periods at project sites may be required (temporary relocation)
• Strong communication skills
• Confidentiality with proprietary processes
• Preference for candidates with smith, mechanic or other craftsman expertise

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mechanical and plumbing utilities for buildings and process equipment
• Develop supply strategy, dimensioning and back-up considerations
• Collaborate with design, installation, commissioning and running-in teams
• Ensure equipment is supplied where required and manage tank, pump and redundancy requirements
• Coordinate with environment, safety and MMR groups to integrate solutions
• Supervise suppliers/contractors to place orders and track compliance
• Ensure all documentation is created and archived per company directives
