Job summary

You will lead design decisions, collaborate across engineering teams, and drive validation and manufacturing readiness for scale. Excellent CAD skills and hands-on fabrication aptitude are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and first-principles problem solving.
• Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks or NX.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware design to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Gather requirements and translate into defensible architectures and decisions.
• Perform design trades using 3D modeling, FEA, prototyping, and first-principles thinking.
• Participate in and lead design reviews.
• Create high quality engineering drawings.
• Root cause hardware failures and manufacturing issues.
• Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain on build instructions, tooling/fixtures, and vendor selection.
• Plan and execute validation testing with Flight Test and other teams.
