Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• US citizen with active SECRET clearance.
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical engineering experience (defense/aerospace preferred).
• Experience applying MBSE and modeling/simulation to support systems engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, materials, thermal management, and environmental survivability.
• Hands-on fabrication, assembly, or field testing experience.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Background and drug screening clearance.

Aufgaben

• Assist in design, development, and evaluation of mechanical components and subsystems for unmanned platforms.
• Conduct mechanical and structural analyses (load, vibration, thermal, corrosion).
• Apply MBSE to develop and manage system models and integrate modeling tools with systems engineering.
• Generate CAD models, drawings, parts lists, diagrams, and manufacturing plans.
• Support lab and field integration/test activities and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Contribute to mechanical aspects of prototype development and validation through fabrication and testing.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure functional designs.
• Maintain accurate technical data and deliverables.
• Evaluate new mechanical hardware and integration approaches to improve autonomy and environmental performance.
• Support trade-off studies, risk assessments, and lifecycle cost estimation from a mechanical standpoint.
• Develop and validate mechanical models for UxS performance in variable environments.
