Job summary

CyberCoders seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support R&D, production, and quality initiatives in our tire and rubber manufacturing facility. The role drives process improvements, ensures product quality, supports audits, and collaborates across teams to boost innovation and efficiency in factory operations.

The ideal candidate has practical rubber materials and tire manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with AS400 and production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years in rubber, tire, or polymer manufacturing with hands-on R&D and production exposure.
• Experience with quality systems, audits, and corrective actions in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AS400 or similar ERP/MRP systems is highly desirable.
• Strong data analysis and root-cause investigation abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D and product development projects for tires and rubber components.
• Develop and document methods to improve yield, consistency, and accuracy.
• Collaborate on quality control plans and drive corrective actions from audits.
• Plan and participate in internal and external audits with proper documentation.
• Provide technical support to production and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Monitor capacity and scheduling using AS400 and production systems.
• Design experiments and test protocols for material characterization and durability.
• Train operators on best practices, standard work, and safety requirements.
• Produce technical reports, drawings, and work instructions for continuous improvement.
• Apply lean principles and lead small improvements to reduce waste and cost.
