Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline with 2 years relevant experience for Level 2, or advanced degree with 0 years; ABET‑accredited program.
• Level 3 requires 5 years relevant experience or 2 years with advanced degree; ABET accreditation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to pursue research opportunities involving technology integration.
• Develop and implement selected alternatives throughout the project lifecycle including system integration and testing.
• Create systems models and decision‑making tools to aid customer decisions and optimize performance.
• Ensure compliance with DOE orders, regulations, and BEA policies; mentor junior staff.
