Job summary

Qualifications

Solid understanding of structures and structural dynamics.
Proficiency in finite element analysis principles and lumped-parameter methods.
Experience with NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalent.
Knowledge of missile or spacecraft structural dynamic methods.
U.S. Citizenship with an active or current Secret Clearance; willingness to obtain Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop a detailed Finite Element Model for the LE2 Missile Design.
Perform structural dynamic analyses for missile and spacecraft hardware.
Produce and maintain models from in-house and commercial codes simulating loading, deployment motions, and separation events.
Perform loads development, shock and vibration environments, and testing data evaluation.
Prepare test plans and report results; communicate with engineering teams and customers.
Work on a multi-disciplined team for design trades and analyses; assess performance.
Support dynamic test definitions, requirements, test monitoring, and data reduction.
Provide data package recommendations for peer/customer reviews and design reviews.
Mentor junior engineers and cross-train other engineering fields.
Plan tasks, review budget and schedule to reduce cost and cycle time.
