Job summary

InnoForge in Hawthorne, CA is seeking junior to mid‑level mechanical engineers to contribute to space hardware development. You will be involved in design, analysis, prototyping and testing, with increasing responsibility as you grow, and you will work alongside experienced engineers in a fast-moving, small team.

Equity is available as part of the compensation, and there is room to grow with the engineering team as the programme develops.

Qualifications

• Strong first-principles reasoning and fundamentals of mechanical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with design, analysis, and testing is valued.
• Curiosity, hardworking attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-moving, small team.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, assemblies and mechanisms.
• Use calculations and analysis to evaluate designs and predict how hardware behaves.
• Develop through prototyping and testing, refining designs based on results.
• Assist with assembly, investigate failures and improve designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing colleagues to resolve integration issues.
• Own components and assemblies through development stages.
