  • Experience with component selection, vendor management, and manufacturing discussions.

Space Systems & Mechanical Engineer - Orlando, FL

InnoForge is supporting an early-stage space technology company as they continue to grow their engineering team.

We're looking for a hands‑on Space Systems & Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle, from early concept work through to hardware build, integration, and testing.

This is an opportunity to join a highly ambitious team developing next‑generation space systems where you'll have significant ownership and the ability to influence both product and technical direction.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing and developing spacecraft and space‑related hardware systems.
  • Supporting system architecture, requirements definition, and subsystem integration.
  • Owning mechanical design activities from concept through manufacturing.
  • Working closely with suppliers and vendors on component selection and procurement.
  • Participating in hardware assembly, integration, and testing activities.
  • Supporting prototyping, troubleshooting, and design iterations.
  • Collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver flight‑ready hardware.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working on spacecraft, satellites, launch systems, or other complex aerospace hardware.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and hardware development.
  • Mechanical design experience, ideally using industry‑standard CAD tools.
  • Comfortable working directly with hardware in a lab or workshop environment.
  • Experience with component selection, vendor management, and manufacturing discussions.
  • Practical engineering mindset with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of development.
  • US work authorization and ability to work onsite in the Orlando area.
Nice To Have
  • Experience with spacecraft integration and testing.
  • Electronics assembly or soldering experience.
  • Exposure to environmental testing, qualification, or flight hardware development.
