Job summary

AI Prefab Solutions is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to own the development of skid and enclosure-based products. You will produce 3D models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs, while detailing structural steel frames for lifting, transport, seismic, and wind loads.

You will integrate electrical equipment into compact layouts and support UL listings with documentation and revisions. A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 4+ years in related design is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• At least four years of experience in skid, equipment, or enclosure design.
• Strong background in structural steel design and detailing.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review 3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and weld and fastener specifications.
• Design and detail structural steel skids and enclosure frames for lifting, transport, seismic and wind loads.
• Integrate electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, busway, cable tray, conduit) into compact, serviceable layouts.
• Support UL and other listing or field-evaluation efforts with drawings, documentation, and design revisions.
