Job summary

Everforth Apex in North Reading, MA, on-site, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing & Quality Engineering team. You will support robotics and automation across the life cycle, auditing suppliers and driving development to ensure qualification before scale-up.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical-related field, with experience in automated environments, strong RCA and quality process skills, and up to 50% travel to support supplier initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing quality engineering or supplier technical management within automated environments.
• Strong abilities in root cause analysis, product troubleshooting and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Review supplier requests with thorough technical assessment and audits.
• Identify risks and gaps; communicate findings to engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive supplier development to address gaps prior to production scaling.
• Support part qualification through Material Approval Process.
• Own product quality via failure data review, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop processes to improve traceability, non-conformance management and reliability.
