Hypertherm Associates is seeking a newly graduated Mechanical Engineer to join a global, 100% Associate-owned organization in Hanover, NH. You will develop expertise in mechanical subsystems for plasma and waterjet cutting systems and lead design changes through sustaining projects.

The role emphasizes 3D CAD, GD&T, and structural analysis, with hands-on testing, collaboration across teams, and opportunity for growth in a world leader in industrial cutting solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0–5 years mechanical design experience.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, or structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in mechanical subsystems for plasma and waterjet cutting systems, CNC equipment, and torch height control systems.
• Maintain and support released products via sustaining engineering and BOM changes.
• Lead cost-reduction and product-improvement initiatives through design updates and validation testing.
• Analyze drawings, tolerances, test data, and documentation to meet requirements.
• Create and revise 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.
