Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in Greencastle, IN is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of material handling products. You will perform concept design, layout work, prototype monitoring, and assist in releases to production while collaborating with purchasing, quality and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise to design and development of new and improved material handling products.
• Concept Product Design and in-depth analytical engineering for complete structures, power and performance.
• Layout Design of proposed designs to ensure functional, safe, reliable and manufacturable products.
• Monitor Prototype Creation by ordering parts and reviewing test results.
• Assist in engineering design release to production and cross‑department collaboration.
• Support project plans and provide status reports; offer technical guidance to other engineers.
• Attend training, maintain design guidelines, and review colleagues' designs.
