Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation seeks a mechanical engineer to design, develop, and improve material handling products. You will create layouts, oversee prototype testing, and assist in design releases to production, coordinating with purchasing, quality, and service teams.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related, CAD and 3D modeling proficiency, and ability to travel 0–5%. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Occasional travel (0-5%).
• Reliable transportation for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise to the design and development of new and improved material handling products.
• Layout design and ensure functional, safe, reliable, manufacturable and cost-effective designs.
• Monitor prototype creation, order parts and review test results.
• Assist in engineering design release to production and cross-department collaboration.
• Provide project leadership and status updates; support other engineers.
• Attend training and maintain design guidelines.
