Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in Michigan. You will analyze, evaluate, and redesign machine systems, sub-assemblies, and equipment by applying the core principles of mechanical engineering.

Duties include drafting and testing prototypes, detailing parts lists, and refining designs to improve manufacturability and performance. A Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 2 years of design experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years design experience in specialized machines or machine systems.
• Knowledge of mechanisms, gearing, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Draft and test prototypes to ensure optimum design and manufacturability.
• Analyze sketches and specifications to determine part sizes, tolerances and layouts.
• Create and modify multi-view drawings with parts lists for assemblies.
• Modify designs to correct deficiencies or reduce production issues.
• Assist in developing new product offerings and provide design guidance to manufacturing.
