Job summary

Adient in Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, implement, and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and controls for automotive products. You will analyze labor utilization, equipment needs, workflow, and plant layout to maximize efficiency, support prototypes, builds, and production launches, and pursue cost, quality, and safety improvements.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in mechanical or industrial engineering, 3–5 years’ automotive experience,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, and process flows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and controls.
  • Analyze and plan labor, equipment, workflow, and plant layout to maximize productivity.
  • Support prototypes, builds, and production launches.
  • Lead continuous improvement and apply advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams and participate in design reviews.
