Company Description Schurco Slurry, headquartered and manufacturing in Jacksonville, Florida, has been a leader in slurry and abrasive pumping solutions since 1975. The company serves a global market through worldwide distribution and is 100% American owned and operated, with a strong focus on reliability, availability, value, and customer satisfaction. Applicants can expect to join an organization that emphasizes quality, attentive service, and the standards associated with an American manufacturer.
Role Description Schurco Slurry is seeking a motivated and adaptable Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. This position will initially focus on supporting the design, documentation, and manufacture of heavy-duty centrifugal pumps and related equipment.
Our engineers collaborate closely across manufacturing, assembly, sales, and field service, providing the opportunity to see designs move from concept and CAD through production, assembly, and real-world application. We’re looking for an engineer who wants to understand why and how things work, not simply produce drawings.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with 3D CAD, and an interest in understanding how engineered products are designed, manufactured, and applied in the field. This individual should be comfortable working independently, solving unfamiliar problems, and collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, sales, quality, and field service.
This position may expand into product development, reverse engineering, pump performance analysis, customer application support, and other areas based on the individual’s strengths and the needs of the company. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop broad, hands-on engineering experience while contributing directly to the continued development of Schurco Slurry products.
