Upwing Energy seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, build, test and validate Subsurface Compressor System technology. You will lead hands-on mechanical design, perform calculations, and ensure timely release of drawings while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
The role requires 8+ years in engineering, SolidWorks proficiency, and strong GD&T knowledge for high-speed rotating machinery, with a focus on bearings, seals, and packaging.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a member of our engineering team, supporting the design, build, test, and validation of our Subsurface Compressor Systems™ (SCS). This position will require leadership and support of a broad range of product development and validation activities at the component, subsystem, and system levels. This position requires a hands-on approach to problem solving as well as the use of closed form calculations for component design in high-speed rotating machinery applications.
This position will be mostly in an office atmosphere; however, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be expected to support the build and test of products in the production area. Personal protective equipment should be worn in designated shop floor areas.
