Job summary

Kikkoman Foods Inc HQ and Walworth Plant in Walworth, WI seeks a Mechanical Engineer reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor. The role is responsible for completing process engineering projects to improve production efficiency, planning process automation, customizing material transfer systems, and producing AutoCAD diagrams.

They also oversee mechanical contractors, design utility systems, and execute special projects assigned by the Maintenance and Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of industrial project management focused on production process engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; ability to interpret 3D models and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Complete process engineering projects throughout plant with emphasis on production efficiency improvement.
• Plan and manage process automation projects including cost estimation.
• Design and customize material transfer systems to maximize space utilization.
• Recommend plant layout changes for efficiency and food safety compliance.
• Produce and update AutoCAD diagrams of production processes, piping systems and plant organization.
• Design and size steam, air and water systems with flow calculations for valves and pumps.
• Oversee mechanical contractors on projects across the plant.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure projects meet specifications, on time and within budget.
• Execute special projects assigned by Engineering Manager.
