Our client is a well-respected, locally owned engineering company in Austin seeking a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience to join their expanding team. Skills

  • Mechanical Engineering degree with a PE license (Professional Engineer)
  • Experience with HVAC and/or plumbing design work on various project types (e.g., commercial, multifamily, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare)
  • Proficiency in Revit as the primary CAD system
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Project management experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster (big plus)
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents for MEP engineering needs
  • Manage projects, establish schedules, assign resources, monitor performance, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget
  • Organize mechanical engineering documents and maintain project schedules
  • Review mechanical design submittals and address issues in the field as needed
  • Generate and present project status updates to various audiences
  • Develop new business with existing and new clients through relationship building

Qualifications

  • PE license (Professional Engineer)
  • Relevant experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience managing projects preferred

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering with HVAC and plumbing focus
