Job summary

Optima Engineering PA in Greenville, SC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to develop high-quality designs for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems in various facilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, be registered as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina, and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP building systems design.
• Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Design HVAC systems including air distribution and equipment layouts.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications using Revit or AutoCAD.
• Conduct site visits and evaluate existing mechanical systems.
• Provide construction administration support including field observations.
• Support and mentor junior staff as appropriate.
