Job summary

Spur Design is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to a range of projects, focusing on mechanical and plumbing design while collaborating with a team that values people and meaningful work. Licensed PE preferred; EITs pursuing licensure may be considered.

The role involves design, documentation, site coordination, and constant learning within a supportive, team-driven environment. Candidates should have 4+ years in construction and a strong grasp of drawings, specs, and codes.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• FE exam passed or in progress as applicable.
• Experience reading construction documents and drawings.
• Familiarity with owner-architect and owner-contractor agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering design, guidance, and documentation on Spur Design projects.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and specs from schematic through construction using Revit MEP.
• Prepare contract documents, specifications, drawings, narratives, calculations, and submission packages.
• Apply codes and company standards to deliver quality service to Spur clients.
• Manage project priorities and coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Monitor time spent on projects and maintain daily records.
• Maintain Revit libraries and project management tools.
• Travel for site visits and coordination with offices.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Director to improve methods and processes.
• Attend meetings and report project progress.
• Support marketing, interviews, LOE estimates, and proposals.
• Demonstrate professionalism and represent Spur Design with integrity.
