Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to build, test, and maintain robot ultrasound chassis and electro-mechanical systems from concept through manufacturing and field deployment.

You will design mechanical and electromechanical subsystems, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to design validation, DFMEA, and DOE activities. Onsite in Columbus, OH with relocation assistance and a salary up to $120K.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and product development.
  • Experience working on technically complex and innovative engineering projects.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D parametric CAD modeling and mechanical design.
  • Experience designing for manufacturing processes (casting, machining, moulding, stamping, forming).
  • DFMEA, DOE, GD&T, and Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical standards.
  • Hands-on experience building electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proven track record delivering products from concept to production.
  • Cross-functional teamwork and strong written/verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining robot ultrasound chassis. You will also work on the design, development, and implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systems for current and next-generation robotic solutions. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to support the development of innovative robotic platforms from concept through manufacturing and field deployment.

Skills/Experience Needed:
