Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. is seeking a mechanical/ electromechanical engineer to design, analyze, and lead small teams on industrial systems. Proficiency with SolidWorks and FEA tools is required, with knowledge of GD&T and DOE/nuclear markets highly valued.

The role involves leading a 3–5 person team, interfacing with Program Managers and engineers, and delivering manufacturable designs while planning and executing engineering tasks on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/ electromechanical design for industrial systems.
• Ability to lead small engineering teams (3–5 engineers).
• Experience with 3D modeling and FEA (SolidWorks, ANSYS).
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• DOE/commercial nuclear domain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs based on customer and regulatory requirements; verify and validate designs.
• Create 3D models and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform kinematic, stress, structural and thermal analyses using ANSYS; optional Adams simulations.
• Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure conformance to design and specifications.
• Collaborate with systems/design engineering, manufacturing and testing teams; support manufacturable designs.
