Job summary

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Monroeville, PA to perform routine to moderately complex engineering functions within the Repair Part Engineering team.

You will evaluate supplier documentation, coordinate reviews, and ensure timely resolution of Navy-related repair part requests as part of fleet readiness. The role requires a Mechanical/Aerospace degree, the ability to obtain/maintain a DoE security clearance, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Requires a security clearance; all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of current clearance.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred for recent graduates.
• Experience in project/design engineering with manufacturing, welding, or related technical areas is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, prioritization, and team assignment of LARs related to PQDRs, ERSRs and NAVSUP requests.
• Gather and analyze technical and logistic data to support dispositions.
• Evaluate NAVSUP supplier and shipyard documentation to address deficiencies and requests.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and procedures to verify supplier/part compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate technical reviews and ensure timely feedback with stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and track follow-ups using approved systems and tools.
