Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead design, bid, and execution of mechanical systems for facilities operations and maintenance. The role requires coordinating with contractors, field teams, and stakeholders from concept through completion.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline) and 10+ years in mechanical design or facilities engineering, with active TS/SCI clearance to start and FE exam preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, project execution, or facilities engineering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance to start; eligible for polygraph.
• FE exam passed (NCEES) preferred.
• Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Design and review mechanical system designs (HVAC, piping, plumbing) and layouts.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical specs, and bid packages.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, repair, or retrofit projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, field technicians, and stakeholders; review submittals and punch lists.
