Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Mechanical Engineer & MI-QA Lead for the Washington Works site in Parkersburg, WV. The role combines hands-on mechanical engineering support with leadership of the MI-QA program, reporting to the MIQA Maintenance Manager.

Candidates should have ABET-accredited mechanical engineering credentials and relevant manufacturing experience. The position emphasizes problem solving, safety, and collaboration across maintenance teams, with strong communication and data-based decision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 5 years of Engineering experience (can include Co-op experience).
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic mechanical engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve technical problems using data-based decisions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support to manufacturing operations.
• Lead Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (MIQA) efforts and PS/PSM related activities.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.
• Lead PSM criticality assessment process for MIQA improvements, spare parts, inspection plans and maintenance procedures.
