EEA Consulting Engineers seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Austin, TX to lead mechanical design within the MEP domain, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and guiding projects through conception, design, and construction phases.

The role requires a Texas-licensed PE, ABET-accredited degree, and strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, with hybrid work flexibility and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer License in Texas.
• Significant experience in mechanical engineering within the MEP industry.
• Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for detailed drawings and models.
• Strong project management skills and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent communication and coordination with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion, meeting client requirements and codes.
• Manage project teams, assign tasks, and monitor quality, schedules and budgets.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Perform detailed analysis and design of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Create drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit; ensure code compliance and permit approvals.
• Coordinate with electrical, architectural, and structural teams for integrated designs.
• Attend site visits and design reviews to support construction administration.
